"Julius Berger has a strong musical personality, and with it a sure hand and a beauty of tone which allow his personality to shine.'' ( The New York Times)

Born in 1954, Berger is Professor of Music at the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz, Germany. Since 1992 he has been leading classes at the International Summer Academy at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. The CD editions of works for violoncello by Boccherini, Hindemith, Bloch, and others have reinforced his international reputation.

Ukrainian-born pianist Mykola Suk has been a resident of New York City for the past five years. Little known in this country, he was the first-prize and gold-medal winner at the Liszt-Bartók International Competition in Budapest in 1971. His recordings of Beethoven's complete sonatas for piano and violin (with Oleh Krysa) are to be released shortly.

"... an astonishing blend of muscular power, poetry, and utter control ... one of the more formidable talents to have appeared in this country in years.'' ( The American Record Guide)
