The PerformersEncore Chamber Orchestra---an ensemble of thirty-five musicians selected by Music Director Daniel Hege from the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra. The ensemble, now in its fourth season, toured the United Kingdom in 1995 and is currently preparing for a European tour. This concert is a benefit concert for the orchestra; all proceeds will be used for the upcoming tour.The CYSO is the resident youth orchestra of Chicago's Grant Park Festival. Membership in the orchestra is achieved through competitive annual auditions, in which over 300 students participate. More than half of each year's graduates become college music majors. LocationThe concert will be presented in the Auditorium of the APS Conference Center (Building 402) at Argonne National Laboratory. Use the ticket request form to order your tickets by mail.Seating is limited; preferred seating will be available for those making a donation to the orchestra.
