Biological and Environmental Systems – Modeling natural and social activity
Argonne's biological and environmental systems programs develop innovative computer-based models and algorithms that lead
to new biological discoveries and provide new insights into the natural, social and economic processes that influence our daily
lives and our environment. Examples include regional climate modeling, molecular-scale modeling of cells and other biological
organisms, agent-based modeling of social and economic interactions, and models of the hydrological forces that affect water quality,
