Visiting the Transportation Research and Analysis Computing Center

For guests who wish to visit and meet with the technical staff, please contact the TRACC service desk or the Technical Point of Contact assigned to you for registration, scheduling, and confirmation, including Foreign Visits and Assignments. Registration with your host is required for entry into the TRACC facilities. A photo I.D., such as a driver’s license or passport, is also required for facility access. If you are from a U.S. Department of Transportation or U.S. Department of Energy organization, please bring your badge/identification with you.

Directions to TRACC Facilities

From the south and Midway Airport

Take I-55 west to I-294 north. Exit I-88 west and drive approximately 15 miles to Route 59 North (right at exit ramp stoplight). Take Route 59 north approximately four miles to Route 38 west. Take Route 38 approximately four miles west to Kautz Road and turn right (north). Continue for about one mile to the entrance of the airport (International Drive).

From the north and O'Hare Airport

Take I-90 west approximately 18 miles to Route 59 south. Drive south on Route 59 for approximately 10 miles to IL-64/North Avenue and turn right. Take IL-64 west approximately 3 miles to the Kautz Road/Smith Road intersection. Turn left (south) at the stoplight. Go south on Kautz for about one mile to the entrance of the airport (International Drive).

From downtown Chicago

Take I-290 west to I-88 west and drive approximately 15 miles to Route 59. Take a right at the exit ramp stoplight for Route 59 north. Take Route 59 north approximately four miles to Route 38 west.
