Devin Hodge manages Argonne’s Sustainability Program, ensuring that new facilities and upgrades are energy efficient and made in accordance with environmental regulations and the goals and provisions of Argonne’s Site Sustainability Plan. Hodge manages the planning and implementation of wind, solar and geothermal power on the laboratory site and he oversees the laboratory’s water conservation and pollution prevention efforts. Additionally, he coordinates the Sustainability Core Team’s efforts to promote employee awareness, involvement and the adoption of sustainable behavior including the reduction of employee commuting emissions.  Hodge also manages Argonne’s Sustainability leadership and outreach efforts which include sharing information, best practices and resources with the community, students and teachers, industry, government, as well as speaking and providing demonstrations at public events.

Hodge has worked in the areas of sustainability, environmental compliance, waste management, pollution prevention/waste minimization and energy management. Prior to joining Argonne, Mr. Hodge worked in environmental consulting, notably providing geological, environmental investigation and remediation expertise. He studied hydrogeology and environmental science at Illinois State University and received his B.S. in Geology.
