Matthew Pelton
Assistant Physicist
- Center for Nanoscale Materials
Matthew Pelton’s research focuses on the new physical phenomena that can arise when light interacts with nanomaterials.
By designing, fabricating, and optically characterizing hybrid nanostructures, we have the potential to achieve unprecedented control over the flow of energy on the nanometer scale.
Dr. Pelton received his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Stanford University in 2002. Following a postdoctoral appointment at the University of Chicago, he joined Argonne’s Center for Nanoscale Materials in 2006.
