Guenter Conzelmann

Guenter Conzelmann is the Director of the Center for Energy, Environmental, and Economic Systems Analysis at Argonne National Laboratory. He is a senior fellow with the EPIC Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago , the Northwestern University Argonne National Laboratory Institute of Science and Engineering, and an adjunct faculty member with the Stuart School of Business at the Illinois Institute of Technology.

His research focuses on the development and application of modeling and simulation tools to study strategic energy and power sector issues, including renewable energy integration, smart grid and microgrid implementation, advanced grid modeling, energy sector resilience, and environmental impacts of energy production.

Mr. Conzelmann leads Argonne’s Wind Power Technologies and Analysis Program. He is the author or co-author of numerous publications, including journal articles, book contributions, conference papers, and sponsor reports in the energy and power systems field. He is frequently invited to speak on these subjects at conferences, workshops, and training courses around the world.
