Dr. Sen completed his Ph.D. in Chemistry in 2014 from Brown University, Providence, RI. He joined the Energy Systems division at Argonne National Labs as a postdoctoral appointee. He is currently working under Dr. Elena Timofeeva to develop novel nanoelectrofuel electrodes for use in flow batteries in electric vehicles under ARPA-E's RANGE program. His research focuses primarily on the use organic/polymeric composite materials in energy storage and conversion applications. Other topics he has explored include stress evolution in polymer films and use of nanostructured metals for the electrocatalytic reduction of CO2. He has experience with battery design & testing, electrocatalysis and polymer synthesis.
