Transportation Systems and Market Assessment

The Argonne National Laboratory transportation systems and market assessment team includes a diverse group of engineers, technology analysts, economists, policy analysts and planners who work with the U.S. Department of Energy to assess a broad mix of programs and develop publicly accessible tools to calculate potential economic, energy, resource and emissions savings from the implementation of new fuels and technologies. Argonne's transportation systems assessment team investigates market potentials of advanced vehicle and fuel technologies, examines energy and emissions impacts of alternative market development and consumer behavior scenarios, and analyzes both the entire US transportation system and key portions of such programs and policies as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act fuel cell program and California’s Low Carbon Fuel Standard.
