Abstract:
We consider a hidden SU(2)xU(1) gauge group. We show that, after symmetry breaking, the hidden gauge sector can be the source of a spin-1 dark matter candidate. This sector communicates with the Standard Model through kinetic mixing, which can lead to the correct relic density and provide a mechanism for direct detection of dark matter. The model can accommodate a potential signal implied by the CDMSII-Si data. We also outline other phenomenological implications of the setup.
