Patrick Powell presents "DENSO i-Society Project" Wednesday, April 2, 2014, from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Building 240 TCS Conference Center, Room 1404-1405.

Abstract

Mr. Powell will present DENSO’s ideas for a Smart City roadmap for Detroit, Michigan to help in its revival. Powell seeks to inform Argonne researchers about DENSO's Smart City plans and seek their input for the roadmap.

DENSO currently participates in Toyota City, a Smart City project in Japan. DENSO also recently started City-e in Aachen, Germany with FEV GmbH an internationally recognized powertrain and vehicle engineering company.

About the Presenter

Powell is Director, Technology Planning at DENSO Corporation. He returns to the United States after a year’s assignment at DENSO’s Japanese headquarters. Powell is heading up the startup of the roadmap development project for a Smart City in Detroit, Michigan.
