Frank Petriello and James Proudfoot will present "The Discovery of the Higgs boson?" at a Director's Special Colloquium Wednesday, July 11, at 2 p.m. in the Building 362 Auditorium.

Petriello and Proudfoot will discuss the recent discovery of a possible new particle whose properties measured are consistent with those of the elusive Higgs Boson. Discussion will include the implications of the finding on the Standard Model in Physics.
