Experience with Directive-based Programming Approach on Pii, the supercomputer of SJTU
Directive-based programming, such as OpenMP and OpenACC, seems provide a high-level and productive method to application developers. In this talk, I will first evaluate the existing directive-based tools and then introduce our recent performance portability research work on Pii, the supercomputer of SJTU has both Nvidia Kepler and Intel Knights Corner inside.
James Lin is the vice director of Center for High Performance Center, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and as well as a visiting associate of Global Scientific Information and Computing Center, Tokyo Institute of Technology. His research interests include many-core programming on massive heterogeneous system. He serves as a TPC member for SC13 and HPC China 2012/2013.
