Reducing Our Nation's Petroleum Consumption and the Environmental Impacts of our Vehicles

Don Hillebrand, Director of the Energy Systems Division, presents "The Future of Transportation: Reducing our Nation's Petroleum Consumption and the Environmental Impacts of our Vehicles" Thursday, June 20, 2013, at the Building 402 Auditorium.

The event begins with a reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by the lecture at 7 p.m., with a question and answer period at 7:30 p.m.

Abstract:
Revolutionary advances in transportation are critical to reducing our nation's petroleum consumption and the environmental impact of our vehicles. Hillebrand will discuss how Argonne research is driving some of the most exciting new vehicle technologies, from modeling and simulation programs to advanced power trains, engines, biofuels and batteries, and their potential impact for the future.
