The Illinois Science Council presents "The Higgs Boson Discovery Explained" at the Landmark Century Cinema, Monday, July 16, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
A screening of the documentary "The Atom Smashers" will take place. The film explains the science behind the Higgs boson discovery. A panel discussion will follow featuring scientists from Argonne and Fermilab.
Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door (cash only).
