Abstract:

You have a proposal in mind, now it's time to write!

Where do you begin?

Who can you turn to for pre-submission peer-review?

Former LDRD Program committee member Tom LeCompte, Physicist (HEP), offers his insights into the LDRD Program approval process for postdocs. Tom will provide recommendations and answer questions from a reviewers perspective on the writting and approval process of the LDRD Program.

Anyone interested in having their LDRD proposal peer reviewed prior to submission by a postdoc review committee should bring a copy for review after the event. If you'd like to familiarize yourself with LDRD before the workshop, visit the LDRD website.

About the Speaker:
Tom LeCompte is the former physics coordinator for the ATLAS experiment, a 3,000-person collaboration at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN. This experiment studies the collisions of protons at the highest energy yet achieved.
