Abstract:
I will discuss the new design of variable large superconducting inductances made from Josephson junction arrays. We show that for the special choice of parameters in these arrays allow to vary the inductance in a very wide range. In the absence of quantum fluctuations the range of the variation would be infinite but quantum fluctuations limit it. We show the experimental data and the results of the numerical analysis that confirm these expectations.
