Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day 2014
IGED is a diversity outreach program designed to provide 8th-grade girls an opportunity to learn about science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) careers. Students are assigned to engineer and scientist mentors who accompany the girls throughout the day's scheduled activities. The whole event is designed to be interactive and provide personal contact with real women engineers and scientists.
We need your support to make IGED2014 a success!
Mentors are needed for Argonne's annual Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (IGED).
Please contact IGED Mentor Chairs Kirsten Laurin-Kovitz at email@example.com or ext. 2-4143, or Maria Power at firstname.lastname@example.org or ext. 2-0269 to register as a mentor for IGED2014 by Friday, January 10, 2014.
If you would like to volunteer in another way, let us know that, too. Mentors are at the core of a successful IGED. IGED is in celebration of National Engineers Week and as such is held at the end of February each year.
