Abstract:
The role of energy management in hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) and plug-in electric hybrids (PHEV) is to safely, smoothly and efficiently manage energy between different sources (battery, fuel) and the components that use it (engine, motor, accessories, etc.). In this seminar, we will present the main principles behind energy management, and how control theory, optimization and big data can be used to make these vehicles more efficient.
