LanzaTech: Transforming Waste Gases to Low Carbon Fuels and Chemicals Using Microbes

Abstract:
LanzaTech: The gas fermentation pioneering company from New Zealand converting diverse sources of industrial waste gases containing CO, CO2 and H2 into fuels and chemicals.

The origin and basis of the process will be discussed in the context of current bioethanol technologies, the interesting move into China as well as current company status and the positive difference offered by our technology.

About the Presenter:
Björn is a microbiologist (PhD UoA, NZ 2010) and Process Validation team leader at LanzaTech. He has been involved in the development and implementation of the LanzaTech technology during lab, pilot and more recently, demonstration scale (20.000L) in China. The technology has independently been verified and is currently further scaled and commercialized from the new base in Skokie, Chicago.
