Abstract:
In this talk, I will discuss how one can obtain model-independent bounds on the Higgs boson total width by looking at the invariant mass distribution far away from the Higgs resonant peak. I will also discuss the role of the SM vector boson pair production background and how to obtain reliable theoretical predictions for it in a region relevant for this kind of studies.
