Near-Term Quantum Computing Applications, Software and Hardware
Abstract: This tutorial will give an overview of the state-of-the-art in quantum applications, software, and hardware. In particular, the vertical integration of applications, software, and hardware is needed to increase the efficiency of quantum computation. Factors of 100 to 1000 improvement are possible, effectively bringing quantum computing out of the laboratory and into practical use 10-20 years sooner than through technology advances alone.
Participants can attend in person at the University of Chicago, Regenstein Library, Techbar, or online via BlueJeans. A link to a Box folder containing slide decks, presentation materials, and video recordings will be distributed to all registrants after the session.
