The Workshop "Non-conventional Insulators 2012" will be held at Argonne from Monday, Nov. 12, to Friday, Nov. 16, 2012.
The workshop will bring together leading experts, both theorists and experimentalists, actively working in different sub-fields. They will discuss the recent advances and overview the present status of the field, to visualize further research prospects and to promote new collaborations.
The Workshop program will include the following talks:
- Superconductor-insulator transitions
- Topological insulators
- Bose-insulators and role of disorder
- Quantum phase slips in superconducting nanowires and nanorings
- Majorana Fermions
- Quantum transport in the insulating state
