Overview of NVIDIA Exascale Processor Architecture, Co-design Philosophy and Application Results to Date
Representatives from NVIDA will be coming to Argonne on Tuesday, April 30 to present in-depth information on NVIDIA's exascale architectural plans. They will also be discussing NVIDIA's experience with several co-design apps (OpenMC and XSBench).
The first talk will be from 1 to 2 p.m. on the topic of the NVIDIA Exascale architecture and co-design philosophy. This talk will be given by Steven Parker, Sr. Director, HPC & Rendering at NVIDIA. Steven has responsibility over the teams of engineers and computational scientists that work with customers on GPU-based applications in HPC and technical computing at NVIDIA. He also has responsibility for the co-design effort in NVIDIA's Exascale project.
The second talk will be from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on the topic of NVIDIA's experiences with co-design apps, including XSBench and OpenMC. This talk will be given by Tony Scudiero, Developer Technology Software Engineer at NVIDIA. Tony's area of expertise is in enabling GPU acceleration in large scale scientific computing, and he has a background in computer science and mathematics.
