Abstract:
In the quest for every improving economy and reduction of pollutants, new engine technologies and combustion systems are being explored. USCAR, the United States Council on Automotive Research, tracks new engine technologies and combustion systems to allow US car companies to gauge where they are technically compared to their competitors. DoE has partnered with USCAR to benchmark several engines so that the data can be used in DoE programs. This presentation will give an overview of the vehicles, engines and data available to researchers along with how it can be used.
