What the heck was a physicist doing working on a presidential campaign? From randomized controlled experiments to machine learning algorithms and models, data analytics and statistical analysis played a surprisingly large role in this year's presidential contest. In this talk, I'll give an overview of the wide-ranging role data analytics played in the various departments on the Obama presidential campaign.
