Abstract:
Quantum Monte Carlo methods provide the best solutions of nuclear structure for light nuclei using realistic two- and three-nucleon interactions. We have calculated binding energies of about 100 ground and excited states up to A=12, as well as densities and charge radii. We also have studied spectroscopic overlaps for input to Distorted-Wave Born Approximation calculations of light-ion reactions, and asymptotic normalization coefficients for astrophysical reactions. This talk will emphasize recent applications to electromagnetic moments and transitions, charge-symmetry breaking and isospin-mixing, and nucleon momentum distributions.
