Abstract:
The detector group of the Swiss Light Source at PSI has a long standing history in the development of single photon counting detectors. The first generation (Mythen and Pilatus) are used world wide. We are currently working on the next generation of single photon counting detectors (Eiger) and also on new charge integrating detectors for XFELs. In the presentation and overview over the detector projects will be given. We will also show which new possibilities the new charge integrating detector systems at synchrotrons offer.
