| Argonne National Laboratory has a postdoctoral position open in a project, joint between the Chemical Science and Engineering Division and the Center for Nanoscale Materials, to design, implement, and develop experiments involving x-ray scattering from metal nanoparticles trapped in optical tweezers. Considerable knowledge of and skill in the use of lasers for advanced experiments in the physical sciences is essential. Some knowledge of optical tweezers is preferred. Experience with synchrotron x-ray measurements would be an asset. Considerable skill in understanding physical concepts and independently obtaining results is required. Considerable skill in written and oral communication is a requirement.
