| The Engineering Development and Applications Department of the Nuclear Engineering Division at Argonne National Laboratory has postdoctoral positions available in the areas of design, structural analysis and life prediction of components. The work is mainly analytical but would require interactions with experimentalists. Successful candidates are expected to be interested in both.
We are seeking a candidate who has a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a good background in applied mechanics including theory of elasticity, plasticity, creep and fracture mechanics. Candidate should have considerable knowledge of the finite element method of structural analysis using commercially available codes.
Interested candidates should send a detailed CV, along with a list of publications, and three letters of recommendation through the Argonne web site at a-http://www.anl.gov/jobs under job search for postdoctoral/job openings, for requisition number 315183 NE. For additional information, send e-mail to Dr. Saurin Majumdar (majumdar@anl.gov), or call 630-252-5136.
