Job Description
  Basic Purpose
  Provide hands-on health physics measurements and monitoring support to ANL Divisions. Prepare and maintain documentation and reports of monitoring activities. Supervise health physics technicians assigned to the Divisions at ANL. Prioritize and schedule daily work projects and inspect completed work. Assign work crews work and break times, and provide oversight of work-in-progress. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
   
  Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  Comprehensive
Comprehensive knowledge and practice of As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA). Comprehensive knowledge in contamination control techniques. Comprehensive knowledge of ANL environmental, health and safety policies and practices is required.
  Considerable
Considerable knowledge of and skill with radiation monitoring instrumentation and equipment. Considerable knowledge of the Technician Union contract is required. Considerable experience in conducting surveys of equipment and personnel in a high dose rate environment. Considerable interpersonal skills are expected. Considerable experience in customer service environment is required.
  Good
Good experience with stack and grab sampling monitoring systems is required.
  Minimum Education/Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree and 0-1 year of experience/equivalent Associate's Degree and 9-10 years experience/equivalent
