Basic Purpose |
| |
Provides technical leadership and administrative management for research activities in the Electrochemical Energy Storage Department. In conjunction with subordinate managers and staff develops new initiatives for program growth, fosters career development and independent research for staff members and ensures staff access to divisional resources and facilities. Develops productive relationships with sponsors and markets the department`s intellectual property.

Comprehensive
Comprehensive skill in developing and managing programs, research staff and resources effectively. Comprehensive communication and interpersonal relationship skills. Comprehensive skill in formulating, planning, prioritizing and conducting creative and innovative research. Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of project management, battery engineering principles, contracting procedures and restrictions, and the R&D approach and philosophy of industry. Comprehensive skill in the preparation of technical documents (field work proposals, annual operating plans, proposals, statements-of-work, reports, papers, etc.). |
