Martin Bettge is a postdoctoral associate at Argonne National Laboratory, where he diagnoses materials degradation in lithium-ion batteries to improve their lifetime and performance in transportation applications.
He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May 2011. He also holds an M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Florida State University and a B.S.-equivalent degree in Applied Physics from the University of Applied Sciences in Aachen, Germany.
He has 10 years of experience in scientific research, specifically in nanoscale materials engineering for energy conversion and storage.
