PCx: Optimization Problem Solver

PCx is a highly efficient code for solving linear programming optimization problems.

LDAP Browser/Editor: Work Easily with Directories

Argonne’s LDAP Browser/Editor, unique among Java-based browsers, provides full editing functionality for working with the information in LDAP directories.

PARMFLO: Parallel Reacting Multiphase Flow Analysis

Argonne’s PARMFLO software is used to solve multiphase reacting flow computational fluid dynamic problems using parallel computing techniques.

BatPRO Software License Agreement

BatPRO enables the design of a battery manufacturing facility.

SAS4A/SASSYS-1: Fast Reactor Safety Analysis Code

Argonne’s SAS4A/SASSYS-1 safety analysis code system is a simulation tool that can perform deterministic transient safety analysis of anticipated operational events, as well as design-basis and beyond-design-basis accidents for advanced nuclear reactors. The original code development was for sodium-cooled fast reactors, and sodium boiling can be modeled. However, basic core thermal-hydraulics and systems analysis features are applicable to other liquid-metal cooled reactor concepts.

Restore: Modeling Repair and Restoration Processes

Argonne’s Restore software models complex sets of steps required to accomplish a goal, such as repairing a ruptured natural gas pipeline, when the time required to complete a step may be uncertain. For example, external conditions (i.e., the time of day, weather, and availability of crew) may affect one or more of the steps required to accomplish a goal. Therefore, “nature” can influence which steps are taken and the time needed to complete each step.

GFM: Glass Furnace Modeling

When making glass, exact control of energy, mass and momentum is critical. If the glass has measurable defects or non-uniformities, it cannot be used, wasting large amounts of energy and productivity. These problems exist for any company producing glass products. However, Argonne’s Glass Furnace Model (GFM) simulation code can help ensure that furnaces produce the highest quality glass possible.

Autonomie: Automotive System Design

Argonne’s Autonomie is a MATLAB©-based software environment and framework for automotive control system design, simulation and analysis.

Autonomie is capable of

ARGUS-PRIMA: Wind Power Prediction

ARGUS-PRIMA is a software platform for testing statistical algorithms for short-term wind power forecasting. The platform, which consists of a set of statistical algorithms to generate wind power point and uncertainty forecasts, can be used for systematic testing and comparison of different computational learning algorithms.

ADIFOR: Automatic Differentiation of Fortran 77

ADIFOR (AD) is a tool for the automatic differentiation of Fortran 77 programs. Given a Fortran 77 source code and a user's specification of dependent and independent variables, ADIFOR will generate an augmented derivative code that computes the partial derivatives of all of the specified dependent variables with respect to all of the specified independent variables, in addition to the original result.
