Awards

Each year, Argonne National Laboratory and many of its world-class scientists and engineers are awarded and recognized for their outstanding talents and the innovative technologies they develop with their research teams and in association with industry partners.

Argonne researchers have received or been recognized by:

  • R&D 100 Awards: Each year, R&D Magazine recognizes the 100 most technologically significant new products of the last year with awards. The competition has two purposes:  to recognize innovators and organizations for outstanding practical technical developments, and to identify industrially significant technological advances. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) recognizes the R&D 100 awards as a very prestigious award.
  • Federal Laboratory Consortium (FLC) Awards: Each year, the FLC, which comprises more than 600 federal laboratories and centers, recognizes federal laboratory employees who have done outstanding work in the process of transferring laboratory-developed technology.
