Priscilla D. Antunez joined Argonne in 2017 as a Business Development Executive for the Technology Commercialization and Partnerships Division. She previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the IBM TJ Watson Research Center in New York. During her tenure at IBM, Dr. Antunez filed six patent applications and four invention disclosures related to her work in semiconducting materials and photovoltaic devices, receiving an Invention Plateau Award in 2016. In addition, she has 11 peer-reviewed publications, with two more under review.
Dr. Antunez received a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Southern California, where her work focused on the solution-phase synthesis and deposition of earth-abundant metal chalcogenide semiconductors, which included nanocrystal synthesis, processing and characterization. She was awarded a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship (NSF-GRF) and a USC Provost’s PhD Fellowship for her doctoral work. Priscilla received a BS in chemistry from California State Polytechnic University (2009) and another from the Universidad de Sonora (2001) in Industrial and Management Systems Engineering.
