Illinois Tectnology Enterprise Center (ITEC): A state-funded center that opened its doors in Fall 2002 to serve life science / technology based companies in the Chicago area. The mission: To stimulate development of advanced technology enterprises by transforming innovation into reality. The ITEC program is funded by the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity as part of a state-wide network of enterprise development centers.

Illinois Ventures: IllinoisVENTURES partners with leading researchers and experienced entrepreneurs to build successful companies based on proprietary and patented technologies.

Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DECO): The Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) is charged with enhancing Illinois' economic competitiveness by providing technical and financial assistance to businesses, local governments, workers and families. As the state's lead economic development agency, DCEO works to capitalize on Illinois' strengths as a center of transportation, manufacturing, and technology development.

MRUN Midwest Research University Network: MRUN was established in 2002 as an alliance of university business development professionals dedicated to facilitating growth of technology spinout companies through start-up formation. MRUN is built around the idea that regional cooperation in new business formation can foster commercialization of university research.
