EcoCAR 2: Plugging In to the Future

Argonne National Laboratory develops and has managed collegiate vehicle technology competitions for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for more than a decade. The latest of these, EcoCAR 2: Plugging In to the Future is a three-year collegiate student competition and the only program of its kind. Kicking off in 2011, the competition focuses on vehicle integration of advanced propulsion technologies and offers an unparalleled hands-on, real-world experience to educate the next generation of automotive engineers.

Clean Cities University Workforce Development Program

Working with Argonne National Laboratory, the U.S. Department of Energy's Clean Cities program launched the Clean Cities University Workforce Development Program (CCUWDP) in 2010 to provide the automotive and energy sectors with skilled and knowledgeable talent to help shape the future of on-road transportation.
