First Chain Reaction Innovations cohort: Tyler Huggins & Justin Whitely

Tyler Huggins and Justin Whiteley were selected for the first cohort of Chain Reaction Innovations, a new two-year program that offers innovators with energy- or science-based ideas a home at Argonne National Laboratory for two years, where they’ll have time to develop and scale their technologies to a level that will capture investor and consumer interest. Their project aims to use wastewater to grow fungus to create tunable carbon-based products, such as battery electrodes.
