The grand challenges in materials research are to learn how to design, manufacture and control structures and properties at the mesoscale ranging from a small organic molecule of few nanometer to a micrometer size colloid. The overreaching goal of my research is to address these challenges by improving our understanding of the interaction among the building blocks at different length scale, their hierarchical assemblies and structure-property relationship. Within this framework, I combine molecular modeling, machine leaning and evolutionary computing for accelerating materials design. My current work focuses on developing accurate molecular level force field and phenomenological model for understanding nanoparticles assembly via data-centric approaches.
