Bill Ingle


Bill Ingle is manager of Argonne's Technology Development & Commercialization Programs and Operations. In this position he works closely with Argonne’s research divisions in intellectual property management, technology commercialization, and business development. He works predominately with Argonne’s Energy Systems division.

Ingle has more than 30 years of experience in industrial and institutional technology and product development and commercialization. He has had diverse responsibilities in his career including product and market development, R&D program management and business planning. Prior to joining Argonne he directed the technology transfer group of a $175M industry R&D organization. He has worked closely with the Chairman, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the U.S. Department of Energy and oil and gas industry leadership on national initiatives involving Y2K preparedness issues and Critical Infrastructure Protection.

Ingle works closely with companies interested in commercializing Argonne’s technologies and organizations interested in developing research collaborations with Argonne. Ingle also is also instrumental in Argonne’s initiatives with the venture capital community and manages Argonne’s participation in DOE’s Entrepreneur-in-Residence program.
