SAXS Software Packages Winter 2013 Course
The course will nominally run from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. Space is limited to 20 attendees. The cost is free, registration is required.
Successful small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) experiment requires appropriate data reduction and analysis tools. Igor Pro-based packages Nika (for SAXS data reduction) and Irena (for SAXS data analysis) were developed during the last 10 years at the APS. They are already being widely used for materials science SAXS at the APS and at other facilities worldwide. This hands-on SAXS short course is geared toward new SAXS users, starting with their own SAXS program, focusing more heavily on experiments, theory etc.
Participants are expected to have a high level of SAXS experience and bring their own computers (Windows or OSX). In addition, they are encouraged to bring their own SAXS experimental results.
