Public Repository with Monte Carlo Simulations
The High Energy maintains a repository with Monte Carlo simulations for current and future particle-collision experiments. This repository, called HepSim, has started during the US long-term planning study of the American Physical Society’s Division of Particles and Fields (Snowmass 2013). It provides Monte Carlo event samples for physics and detector-performance studies for the LHC, High-Luminosity LHC, ILC (International Linear Collider), CEPC (Circular Electron Positron Collider), FCC (Future Circular Collider) and other future colliders.
HepSim repository is anchored on the computational capabilities of the Chicago area, such as Open-science grid Connect (OSG-CI, U.Chicago/ANL), BlueGene/Q supercomputer of the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility, and ATLAS support center (ASC,HEP/ANL).
