Integrated Imaging Institute

The world of materials is spatially complex and chemically diverse, and so to understand materials, we must see their details at dimensions ranging from the atomic level to the macroscale.

Argonne’s Integrated Imaging Institute (I3) seeks to build on Argonne’s position as a world leader in experimental and computational imaging science by promoting an integrated, top-down approach to scientific discovery and understanding through imaging. We provide a focal point for scientists across Argonne to cross-pollinate new ideas in integrated imaging; developing new tools, methods, and algorithms to efficiently address hypothesis-driven investigations, and we act as a portal for new and existing academic and industrial partners wishing to engage with Argonne in the broad area of science-driven imaging.
