Olin-Ammentorp elected secretary of Argonne Postdoctoral Society

Wilkie Olin-Ammentorp, a postdoctoral appointee in Argonne’s Mathematics and Computer Science Division, has been elected to serve as the secretary of the Postdoctoral Society of Argonne (PSA) for calendar year 2024.

The PSA is a volunteer organization of postdocs who work to enhance the individual postdoctoral educational experience at Argonne. Its activities include seminars and career fairs and promotion of networking within Argonne and other institutions.

Olin-Ammentorp received his Ph.D. from SUNY Polytechnic Institute in 2019. He then worked as a postdoctoral scholar at the School of Health Science at the University of California, San Diego, before joining Argonne in 2022. His research focuses on neuromorphic computing.

In stating what he hopes to accomplish as secretary, Olin-Ammentorp stated: With many Argonne postdocs working remotely, maintaining communications and encouraging interactions around Argonne is increasingly important. As Secretary, I will strive to keep communication between the PSA and postdocs clear and open.”
