In February 2018, Elena Rozhkova, nanoscientist in Argonne’s Nanoscience and Technology division, was presented with two prestigious awards for her contributions to nanoscience and nanotechnology.
The Professor M. J. Nanjan Fourth Endowment Lecture Award was conferred upon Rozhkova by the University of Madras in Chennai, India, for outstanding contributions in the field of nano-biotechnology. After the award ceremony, she presented an endowment lecture, “At the Interface of Nanomaterials and Living Systems.”
Another award was presented to Rozkhova at the International Conference on Advancement and Challenges in Chemical Sciences, organized by the Department of Chemistry, Pachaiyappa’s College in Chennai, India, where she delivered a plenary lecture/inaugural address entitled “Nature-Inspired Nano-Bio Architectures for Photoenergy Conversion.”
In the same month, Rozhkova also presented an invited lecture, “Research Trends in Nano Bio Materials,” at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies in Dehra Dun, India.
