Ahmedur Rahman Shovon is a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He received his M.Sc. in Information Technology from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh, and his B.Sc. in Information Technology from the same university.

His research interests include high-performance computing and data analytics. His current research is in the field of High-Performance Relational Algebra (HPRA), where he is developing algorithms and techniques to scale key relational algebra primitives such as join, union, and projection on modern supercomputers.
