Dr. Bulut Tekgül is a postdoctoral appointee in the Multi-Physics Computation section of Energy Systems (ES) division at Argonne National Laboratory. His main research interests are Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), scientific computing, CFD model development and reactive flows.
Dr. Tekgül received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Aalto University, Finland in 2021, with a Ph.D. dissertation titled “Numerical studies for diesel spray assisted methane ignition at low temperature conditions”. He also received a M.Sc. degree from Middle East Technical University (METU) ‚Turkey in 2017, with a thesis titled “On the applicability of progress variable approach for large eddy simulation of premixed flames”.
