Biography

Dan Raker is the Laboratory’s Acting General Counsel. Since joining Argonne in 2008, he has represented Argonne in external legal proceedings and advised Laboratory management on a broad array of legal and compliance issues related to labor and employment and the administration of Argonne’s Prime Contract with the Department of Energy. Prior to joining Argonne, Dan worked at a large multi-national law firm headquartered in Chicago in the labor and employment practice group and represented Argonne as outside counsel.

Dan has a bachelor’s degree from Marquette University and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Illinois College of Law, where he was a member of the Illinois Law Review and was selected for the Order of the Coif.  Dan is a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional and a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel and the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics.
