Geunyeong Byeon received her Ph.D. from the Department of Industrial and Operations Engineering at the University of Michigan in 2020. She was awarded honorable mention for the Richard and Eleanor Towner Prize for Outstanding Ph.D. Research, 2019. As a graduate student she taught several courses, including Continuous Optimization Methods. Convex Programming, and Queuing Systems. She joined Argonne as a postdoctoral appointee in 2020.
